I've been creating one thing or another for many a year. Sometimes a song (serious and silly), sometimes a poem and sometimes a picture (serious and silly). What you will experience on this site of mine is a year's worth of passionate digital finger painting. Prior to the pandemic I was on tour performing and teaching with my wife, the fabulous flutist Barbara Siesel.  In January of 2020 we had been on tour in Germany and  Turkey -- headed for China when the pandemic struck. Flying back to New York I began painting on a little app on my phone -- it became an obsession, I simply could not stop coloring in and out of the lines. I've alway drawn, my song notebooks are filled with drawings. When I'm writing a song and stuck for a next line I'll start to draw -- which almost always leads me to the next line...

In place of a pencil, charcoal, palette knife or brush moving color pigments across cloth canvas, wood, or paper surface, I use a finger or a stylus on the screen of a smartphone or tablet.
